Kid’s Club students learned about Non-fiction.  They explored the differences between fiction story books and non-fiction books.  Students learned that non-fiction books sometimes use labels to point out information about a picture or diagram. Kids learned how to respond to non fiction books and to tap into their background knowledge to make a connections to their new learning. They also wrote some news articles about non fiction subjects they were studying.  See the posts on their experiments with liquids and a volcano.
