End of the Year SHOW!

All are invited to attend the Young Learners End of the Year Variety Show. The event is Monday, June 20th at 6:00 in the auditorium of the International Institute.

The students have been working hard on the different acts they will be performing, from songs by the Beatles to Green Day as well as various skits. A reception will be held after the show in the garden.

We hope to see you there! Break a leg, Young Learners! Special thanks to our wonderful teacher Alisha Buttke for her hard work on this!

The NBA comes to the International Institute! Welcome Rudy Fernandez!

On Monday, June 13th, through an event sponsored by the Asociación de Baloncesto Colegial and the U.S. Embassy, we had the pleasure of hosting Spanish basketball star Rudy Fernandez for a Meet and Greet with our students and various local schools. Rudy spoke and answered questions about his experience playing for the Portland Trailblazers, how he began his career in sports, and also what life is like for him in the United States. Rudy was a wonderful example for the students of sportsmanship, hard work, and dedication. We wish him the best!
